Anyone out there using beta of Windows XP/Whistler

I can't wait until the Pro version comes out. With all of the advanced skin features off it shouldn't be that bad of an OS.

I have a copy of whistler pro at home. The system is a celeron 500 with 96 megs ram, and I was disappointed at how slow it ran on my machine. There was quite a few times I would click on an icon, and it would take upwards of 10-15 seconds to respond.

And for those that might say I have system problems, w2k, w98 and ME all run flawlessly and extremely fast and stable on this system.

Whistler was extremely stable tho. The skinning features are really limited and slow it down a lot.. For those that do tech support, it will be interesting considering there is no my computer icon on the desktop.. Unless ms changes this..

anyways, enough from me.. i could go on all night..

I definately think it will be worth upgrading to once they get the major bugs out..
