Anyone out there actually use Freedsl?

Freedsl(Winfire) say they ordered the line for me, but I do not belive it until I actually have the free DSL install and running on my machine. Anyone out there actually have Freedsl? Is this a hoax? If you have it, how is it?

I ordered in June it's December 17 and still no DSL. I talk to my local phone company and they told me that they had upgraded my CO but they needed to install repeaters to double the 8500 feet limit. I'm around 11,000 feet so when they finally get around to I may see DSL yet.

They have a line waiting for me too, supposedly. But after reading
the details, I am not going to bother. For free, you get a speed
of just 128Mbps, which is 2x a dialup modem, AND you get ads
on your desktop. I can dial in through work without ads, and the
modest improvement in speed (in the best case) isn't worth it.

You can pay for no ads, but you'll pay about $30 a month
for something you'd actually feel good about paying for. At which
point, you might as well shop around.
