Anyone order a phone via Amazon Wireless?

Looking at clicking "Place your order" on a Droid Bionic as a Verizon customer.

Says in the Data plan that I can keep my existing unlimited plan at 29.99. Also is $50 cheaper than Verizonwireless.com.

So I ask, any reason not to click Place your order? It seems as though the Samsung Galaxy SII will never happen as a Verizon customer, and this is my favorite option thus far.

Nope, and their customer service seems to be pretty good actually. Only issue with these prices is that Amazon wireless seems to take a back seat in terms of supply compared to other "retail" vendors. I tried to order an AT&T SGS2 from them, but they quoted me a 4-6 week lead time after I called them. I drove to Best Buy and spend $50 more and got it the same day.

I have, they're very good. The one thing you need to remember is that they have their own ETF for the first six months on top of Verizon's - so basically, as long as you aren't planning on cancelling in six months, you're good.

Excellent point. And I do plan on sticking with them for yet another 2 years. (Simply too many family members with them not to.)

How about purchasing a warranty plan? I am not seeing that option anywhere.

Galaxy Nexus, Droid Razr/HD, HTC (whatever)..all coming rather soon this year, definitely worth waiting on if you don't need a phone right now.

They should all have higher resolution screens, probably be a bit faster than the Bionic as well. I wouldn't buy a bionic now.

No, I didn't. What is expected with this announcement?

Something better than Bionic?
SoC: either same as Bionic (worst-case), slightly better (most likely), or way better (slight chance of new Exynos)
screen: 720p SAMOLED (pentile), 4.6" (4.3" useable with soft buttons on)
baseband: LTE+CDMA (+world GSM?)
OS: Ice Cream Sandwich release device
form factor: really cool-looking curve

Rather soon this year is what happened to me with Bionic... last year. At this point, I am looking for a definitive: THIS WILL BE RELEASED within weeks. I don't want to get caught up in the whole... But this will be out next month business. If it's a week, I can hold on.

As of right now, I have an Original Droid with Simply Stunning 5.5 locking up and not answering calls every week or so. I need something more reliable. I am quite sure that the 256mb is my biggest problem right now, and having anything that is an improvement would be ideal.

I also just read about the Nexus and that it will not have Gorilla Glass. This is a problem, as I am tired of using screen protectors that minimize the sensitivity of the touch screen. I also don't want something that'll be scratched to hell if I use it without one.

Other than ICS, what do I really get with the Nexus? Is anything that much better that it warrants waiting?
