Anyone one know how to do the "Bunny Hop?"

Hey anyone know how to do the bunny hop? You guys know, where you act like a bunny and hop around. j/k I'm really talking about CS and bunny hoping. I still can't get it right. You expert bunny hoppers have any ideas?

For you newbies in cs, you need to strafe jump while turning your mouse a certain degree to perform this lethal move.

I think that should be taken out of games.. they need to include better physics in games that try to be more real like that.. Rainbow 6 was better about it.. Try to jump with a full pack a sidearm and a Sub machine gun.. doubt you'll get very far. I'm already white as it is and can't jump so how are these guys doing it with all the crap on?

Bummer is Rainbow 6 didn't have anything else on CS but hey.

I'd like to know too. This is also called "Strafe-jumping." From what I've heard, you only use the left and right strafe buttons to move and must time your jumps just right. I have tried to do it for a little while, but have not had any success. I have seen somebody doing right in front of me where he was going 10-20% faster, but nothing like what I've heard is possible. As far as this not being "fair," this is a SKILL that people can learn in Counter-Strike. STOP WHINING and PLAY. I have no idea how to do this, but do not consider those who do "cheaters." They spent time learning how to do this. Oh, BTW, WHINERS SUCK.

Bunny hoping 101:

1. Use your left and right stafe keys. DO NOT USE FORWARD AT ANY TIME.
2. Jump, hold left strafe and move your crosshairs about 20 degrees left at the same time.
3. Immediately when you land, do the opposite (i.e. hold right strafe, jump and move crosshairs about 20 degrees right.
4. Repeat steps 2-3.

If dont correctly, you should land and immediately jump at the same time. The most important thing to get down is the jumping immediately and rotating your crosshairs enough. There is a video on the net showing what it looks like to do the bunny hop, but I'm sure after a few tries you'll start to see and understand how its done.

Who said CS was realistic?

There is an easy way to fix this, you can turn off the air acceleration on the server side. As soon as that is turned on, no more bunny hopping. There are a few more things to turn off for the default CS server settings, but most people don't know about them therefore problems are exploited.

this is just another form of cheating by taking advantage of the game.....you have an advantage that many people dont know how to or even know what this is...if your over at a homelan federation server doing this ill make sure you give you a nice little kick of the servesr....have a nice day

Jeremey, does that mean your you know or in charge of the homelan servers? Thats pretty cool, but this is not really cheating. Its just a unique way of jumping.
