Since this is not L&R, no not THAT kind of facial! :D

I went to get a haircut and the attendant recommended me to get one, she says it will help clear up the acne that I have. So does this really work? Any bad side effects?

Wash your face, keep your sticky little paws off it, and go to your GP for some accutane if it is really bad.

And I would like to add; clean your pillow cases and sheets at least twice a week.

I have sensitive skin too. Zits are just one of many reactions (dry skin, blood vessels pop, redness, irritability). All those treatmeants are good for getting rid of some of it, but they won't prevent the reaction.

It sometimes goes away when the chemical balance changes as you get older, but most of us are stuck with sensitive skin for awhile.

And Hair salons will try to sell you anything. That's their job.

As someone said above, keep your face, sheets, and pillowcases clean. Use a fragrance free detergent. My wife has been buying "ALL - Free and Clear". It's helped rashes and such in her.. personal areas. For the face, just get any type of face wash at the store. Most of it will have Salacylic acid in it. The stuff with 1% should be fine. The 2% stuff tends to dry my face out.

I never had a zit/acne problem (thank god; I know a few people who've had an outbreak for the 8th year in a row...) and not much facial hair to "groom" anyways so no point.

Get some exercise and fresh air. Not a lot of sunlight if you have a really bad problem though, it makes it worse after a few days.

WTF, I'm lucky to get around to washing them once every TWO weeks. Granted I never sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours a day, but twice a week?! Actually, I could probably get away with throwing them in with my whites...

I used to, but now i find changing my pillow case like every 2 days and showering with my hair back so the gel doesnt touch my face helps much better.
