I stopped watching after the feature film. At the end of the series, what was the final state of "The X-Files Universe"? Did they wrap up storylines? Any loose ends?

Yeah, but jesus it was hard to watch, mulder got abducted in the end of season 7, came back in season 8 dead, got buired, came back alive. Scully got pregnant and gave birth, mulder went missing at the end of season 8. Season 9, scully gave up her baby and mulder came back in the last epiesode and was put on try for murder....

Very messy and was a huge injustice to the series, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7- we'r great. 8 ( was ok when mulder got back but felt messy) Season 9 ( dont go there, really dont).

After season 5 - maybe 6, it wasn't worth watching anymore. Too painful.

i loved the movie and the first few series. XFiles would definitely be my fave show of all time. I stopped watching after mulder left though, the scully and mulder characters had a great dynamic going, whereas the late series plain

Mostly the same for me, except I mostly kept watching after Mulder left. I would love to get all the seasons on DVD. :)

Concur. About half way through the shows run time, I started getting bored. Seemed as though they were really stretching for show topics at that point.

The first few seasons though, were awesome. And the movie rocked. Even the wife liked it.

I like the first season. Part of the second season was okay, but they just started getting too much into the ongoing conspiracy sh!t (with smoking man & co.). I watched it occassionaly after that point.

The early episodes were good because there was an end to each one. They didn't carry on for 20 weeks like a soap opera.

I watched the series finally and thought it sucked.

Season 1 you had good eps like "Ice", "Ghost in the manchine", "Tooms"

Season 2 was a little better with "Little Green Men ", "Excelsis Dei " "Ascension ".

Season 3, the "Blessing way arch" was great, " Pusher" what a great episode, "731" the alien on the train car, and "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space' were good eps.

Season 4 ( best for hair) " The field where I died" was cinematic, it was lovely, " Home", "Sanguinarium " "Musings Of A Cigarette Smoking Man " " max" "Small Potatoes " we'r great.

Season 5 it kinda went stale a little, but did have some good eps " Redux", "Patient X" " Bad Blood" "Schizogeny "

Season 6, I only enjoyed "Dreamland" and the one where they posed as a couple in a house. I have stoped watching after this point, but I saw closure where mulder finds about his sister being ded. Ah I miss it man.

I miss X-files yeah. I watched the movie a couple weeks ago (VHS - is the DVD any good? any good special features?). getting the seasons would be cool.

I meant to watch the show with the Arquette girl to see if it was cool, didn't catch it though. Still waiting for something new with an X-Filesey feel to it.

I loved the X-Files, which for a long time was the only TV show I watched regularly.

Is a second movie still in the works?

I think it could work well. I liked watching Scully and Mulder on screen together.

Something big brings them back together again to save the world!! :)

Last year or so really went to hell, especially after Mulder left as a main character. I always liked the standsalone episodes better - the ongoing conspiracy theory stuff was to hard to follow if you weren't a comple x-files geek.

I kind of miss it. eventually it did jump the shark with all of the alien abduction stuff. "monster of the week" shows were the best. they reminded me of "Kolchak, the nightstalker".

I also loved "Friday the 13th, the series"

I was just thinking about this! I was surfing the channels and sow X-Files on F/X and brought back some memories. The last seasons were kind of bizarre, but there were still some good episodes in there.

I love the episode where they are on the British/Nazy ship. Nostalgia.

Great series while it was on. I don't think I've seen much of Season 1. Maybe I'll rent it/pick it up.

yeah loved the first 4-5 seasons...then it went down hill

it was great when each episode was its only episode and only small parts carried over
once it became one big episode/conspiracy it sucked

favorites where the 2 Tooms (stretch) episodes
the forrest one with the bugs
the guy who could start fires
