Me and my buddies had 8 player madden going here tonight with money on the games and everything, it was great. I still think it beats 2K1 anyday! 😀
 
Those 8 player games with money on the line sure are fun. 😀

I'm just waiting for GT3, MGS2, ZOE, and The Bouncer, which I think will be great games. 🙂

I would like the PS2 if it had more than 4megs of VRAM and supported texture compression.

Technically, the XBox and GameCube own the PS2. Even Dreamcast games look better than PS2 games.

I have nothing against PS2 owners or Sony, I just wish that Sony did more work before releasing it. Maybe making a development kit and more VRAM would have made the PS2 more competetive.
 
Well ive only been playing Final Fantast IX on mine recently but If you havent seen Metal Gear Solid 2 at all than you have no idea what the PS2 can do 🙂. I know the XBox is gonna be sweet and no idea about the GameCube but seeing that i havent owned a Nintendo System since SNES i prolly wont bother with it. Im gonna check both of them out at E3 in a few months though to see how they are.

I really, really do love mine... it is kind of scary. I get this wierd shiver when I see it at the end of the "PS9" ad. :Q 😱 😕

It is just awesome - I even caved in an bought the Vertical stand and placed it vertically on the top of my entertainment center - like some kind of 2001 monolith.

I really love this machine.


Then again, I really love my Dreamcast too, I think they have found out about each other and are getting jealous. 😉
 
I've seen Metal Gear Solid 2 movie clips - and they look great. I have also seen the other games on PS2 and it make me think I was looking at the PSX.

Anyhow, you strengthened my point. After seeing MGS2 on PS2, I thought about how much better that game could be if it was on the XBox (since the XBox is just sooo much more powerful both audio and video wise). Of course, it remains to be seen how the games are going to look and feel. The PS2 might be weaker, but if the games are better, then the XBox is basically worthless. But, with Microsoft's purchase of Bungie (Halo!) and with Oddworld coming out on XBox, it seems guaranteed that the system is going to have some excellent games that are going to be visually superb.

There are more and more stories detailing the difference between all the competing gaming consoles. I recommend you take a look see and do some reading if you really want to see how they differ.

get me a gamepad for the PC... but then I don't really play games that often, i have been dabbling in some Tony Hawk 2 Pro Skater as of late. I will admit the PS2 looks pretty sweet, but if anything I would lean towards waiting for an Xbox. But then I think the pinnacle of football games was reached on super nintendo with Tecmo Super Bowl, anyone who argues with that is blasphemous 🙂
