Anyone lose their best friend because of a failed marriage?

Not sure how to word this. My best friend was my sister ex. Spoke to him finally on my birthday last weekend and hopefully we can continue to be friends again.

It sucks being in the middle of this sort of thing. I miss the man.

When a person gets married they also marry the family, when they divorce it's just a matter time before they are also lost.

I had a girlfriend in that situation. She was best friends with her ex's sisters. He broke up with her & they literally quit talking to her. They hung out daily for years and then zip, gone. It was weird, especially since they didn't seem like the kind of people who would do that.

same situation. It's really awkward.

i had a gf that lived with me and my family for almost 2 years of our 4 years together. everyone expected us to get engaged but i broke it off and it wasn't a pretty break up. but she was still in my sister's wedding party a year later and they remain friends to this day. she even talks to my mother sometimes. fine with me and makes me happy.

sometimes it can work out. perhaps after a couple of months you can speak more with your ex in-law.

Glad to see people be mature in situations like this. Yeah I think it will be cool regardless of the fact I live with my sister.

Maybe he is consciously avoiding you because he overheard you and your sister talking about penises.

Nuke time, trolling once again.

Even have a new one to add.

I think mayne and HACP need to be roommates. I will buy the first tub of ice cream for you guys.

Tommy2GT is your next door neighbor and Dari is the landlord.
