Ok, so here's the deal. I moved into my apartment a few months back right after graduation, and now I'm looking for a roommate. I live in a 1 bedroom place right now, but I can transfer my lease to a 2 bed/2 bath place w/o a problem.

Anyway, costs would go something like this:

Rent ~$1300/month -> ~$600/person/month
Elec ~$60/month -> ~$30/person/month
Cable $133/month -> $65/person/month (this is digital cable w/ HD and HBO, and Internet)
Water ~$8/month -> ~$4/person/month

The apartment complex is called Avalon at Fairway Hills. It is a nice place. Has a nice gym, 2 pools, 2 tennis courts.

Figured I'd throw this out there. We could work out the details if someone is interested. Right now I'm paying $1000/month for a 1 bedroom place, so if I could cut the rent and perhaps electric in half I dont care about paying for the rest of it.

EDIT: Apartment also has washer and dryer.

EDIT #2: Mods, if you think this should be in FS/T please let me know (or if anyone else things I'd do better there)

Use one of the girl avatars, you'll get a much better response!

Good luck, hope a chick answers the ad.

Friend lives in that complex. Very nice apts except for an ant problem in his particular unit. Columbia is weird, there are really nice areas then scattered among them some ghetto ass people. By the way did you find a roommate? I am looking for an apartment but not looking to live with a roommate. I really hope rent prices come down some day, its pretty rediculous right now in the area.

heh I work in columbia but I'm currently living at home in silver spring still saving. I've began to look for a possible condo. I don't think I would want to live in columbia though. it's just weird lol.

Condo prices are rediculous around Columbia...I think just 3 years ago my friend was paying only a grand a month in mortgage for her condo across the street from Avalon Fairway Hills... I shudder to think how much its going for now.
After renting for the past 6 years I recently moved back home myself temporarily to pay off debt and purchase a Lexus =D. I'll wait for the housing market to simmer down. I wouldn't mind a 1br apt though but no way i want to pay 1k a month in wasted rent atm.

Columbia was a planned community that failed to achieve it's #1 stated goal. Started in the 60's, a main selling point was that it was going to be some sort of cultural melting pot utopia of rich and poor, black and white, etc. A real life Coke commercial. Funny how they forget to mention that now.
