I've spent much time in Palm Springs during the harsh summers. Basically it just feels like you're walking through a giant furnace. It's really, really hard to breathe.

That is extremely high for 110+. I don't think it is 154 high, but it is very high.

That low humidity is just dry heat. Try 100 w/100% humidity and then you can complain.
