Anyone listen to trance/chillout/etc?

Yeah I listen to DI but I don't know any of the group names or anything. I purchased a 3 disc set and was disappointed, it was all sucky music. I'm looking for something with steady club beat with bass, specific suggestions.

That's my problem, I DON'T KNOW! I just recently got into it but I know zero artists. From that link I checked out DJ Tiesto, doesn't sound too bad. When I listen to DI I don't know who the artists are, so I have no clue who I'm listening to. I'm blind!

Good software to make my own? I've got the beat in my head, just need the track to lay it down on. Been a while since I've looked at software for music creation.
