Anyone listen to Muse's new CD?

The corpses of Freddie Mercury and Frederic Chopin would like a word with the blatant ripoff of their music that is the new Muse album.

The whole faux political, us versus them, rise up and rebel against XYZ schtick is fucking tired and old.

Sorry to come off so strong but this album fucking annoys me to death; you don't cover Nocturne with as little emotion as he did and get away with it 😛
 
True, most of the album is a copy cat of another song and even their old songs. ie. Newborn

hehe, was just listening to one of their songs on 181.fm/Buzz and the bolded pretty much sums up the song. :laugh:

That said, I don't mind it much, when it's dispersed amongst other songs. Wouldn't want to listen to that constantly though. It's kinda like watching TV or a Movie, very Dramatic, but not something you'd want to watch/hear constantly. Muse would make an excellent Movie mood music band for certain genres.
 
I still standby my comment about the symphony set. Oh yeah, tack on undisclosed desires and mk ultra
 
The album has been quickly growing on me. At first I didn't like it all that much, but now it's second to Absolution for me. I really like Resistance though.

Both of Muse's last two albums have basically been a story - like sandorski said, you could easily make a movie to each of them. I personally really like it.
 
Weakest album by Muse so far, but I still love it. I Belong To You, Unnatural Selection, Undisclosed Desires, and Exogenesis: Symphony, Pt. 3: Redemption are my favorite songs off the album.

I don't get the hate for Undisclosed Desires either. The lyrics are awful, but the music is so good.
 
Muse opened for U2 at UVA (university of virginia) yesterday..................................................

Would have gone if i didn't have an interview this morning -.-
 
Why would anyone bother listening to a new Muse album? Every single song they've released so far sounds alike, just listen to an old album and pretend it's new.
