just wondering...

i've been listening for a long time but i just recently discovered this new j-pop artist named YUI...i think she is really good...but thats me...anywho...pollage

btw the j stands for Japaneses...for all the old people out there

No, I don't get the whole Japanese fascination. Anime, crazy music, stupid TV shows... I don't see the appeal.

Asian Kung Fu Generation, Flow, Uverworld, HIGH and MIGHTY Color, etc.

Although I also listen to korean rap.

fascination: different culture sometimes fascinate people and japan happens to be extremely different to American/western life
anime: anime is just like any other animated show except it has 10x the action, plot line, and is almost always a better show overall...however, you have to group them into catagories...obviously pokemon isnt a great anime but its meant for kids...
crazy music: whats so crazy about it? its just like any other music except they speek another language
stupid Tv shows: they are always wacky and extremely funny, whats not to like about it?

you dont see the appeal because you are afraid of leaving your little shell...not that there is anything wrong with not leaving your shell...just some people do, some dont..its all about comfort level

or you think it is to fanboyish...

similar to my thinking that honda makes good cars but ill never own one...however i have and will again someday owned a honda motorcycle

Zelda is pretty good, but I have to say BG2 Shadows of Amn is still my favorite RPG. I still have it + the ToB expansion, and play it occasionally as a change of pace.

I've got the yellow fever. For the women, not the music. I find it difficult to get into music when I can't understand the lyrics, unless it's instrumental. I can appreciate musical talent, sure, but it's just harder to enjoy. Dunno why.
