Anyone Like Days of the New?

Analog

Lifer
I've only heard their first album, and I love their heavy acoustic music. Theirs a concert near me with Seven Mary Three, Days of the New, & Sponge. I know nothing of the other two bands, but I like the style of Days of the New. I don't know if they tour now as they were in the first album, or is it one of the members who has assembled a pseudo group with the same name etc. Thoughts?

Wow. I just opened this thread to post that.

Huh? You want a screen shot to figure out what I did?

Aside from the fact that they're fucking terrible, I'm sure the show will be excellent.

Troll much?

 Don't cry. I thought we all knew Days Of the New was a POS post-grunge 90's band with little talent. I'm sorry to have broken the news to you so harshly. Look at the bright side. Instead of going to the show, and giving those no talent assclowns money, you can just throw on an Alice in Chains record.

Not to be "that internet guy", but that's a question that's easily answered on wikipedia - no, Days of the New now consists only of Travis Meeks and a newly-assembled group of musicians. I saw the band open for Metallica in '98... they were OK.

... and how can you not be familiar with Seven Mary Three and Sponge if you listen to mid-90's rock?????

This thread got me to thinking about going. But I think I'll have some waffles instead.

The waffles would be better, anyway.

Even without blueberries or chocolate chips.

I must've glossed over that part of the original post. I'm familiar with Seven Mary Three being as terrible as Days Of the New. In short, I think I'd rather have bricks shoved up my ass, than listen to some idiots try to be Eddie Vedder and Lane Staley.

If I were forced to go, I'd leave after hearing Sponge play "plowed". That song is ok.

I refuse. I'm drawn to terrible post-grunge musical abortions and the people who like them, like I am to a plane that has been flown into a river.

What? Are they still around? I thought they broke up.

I saw them open for Metallica in 1999. They were awesome.

Didn't the lead guy of DOTN leave and create a band called Tantric?

Other way around. Everybody else BUT him left and formed Tantric.

Thanks.

I think I kind of liked Tantric's music. Makes sense now, cuz I liked DOTN.

I am not familiar with those other two for unknown reasons. I don't listen to mid-90s rock - I'm from the previous generation and the acoustic arrangement had caught my attention back then.
