Chris Whitley (blues-rock-jazz mix, try Dirt Floor and Living With the Law)

Robert Cray's first album (Strong Persuader)
BB King
Buddy Guy
Willie Dixon (the Chess Box 2cd collection is great, both him and other people recording his songs)
John Lee Hooker
Jeff Healey
Robert Johnson though I have to be in the right mood for old, scratchy, lo-fi recordings

ZZ Top - blues-rock, the old stuff like "Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "Hot Blue and Righteous"
Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic, more good blues-rock

hard to beat Miles.

I'm a fan of jazz and blues in general, I'll listen to any good blues band, but I prefer it live.

JJ Cale. Check out Cocaine, Crazy Mama, They Call Me The Breeze, and After Midnight.
Also, go check out the Crossroads soundtrack, plus the duel at the end.
