Anyone knows Why?

Hi all, I'm a little confused, I recently (yesterday) bought an Radeon 8500 DV V.C. and I have a dual boot system (Win Me/Win XP) so I run the 3DMark 2001 se benchmark in Win XP and I got a decent score (6727), but in Win Me I only get a 3579 Score, any clues why is that?.

BTW I donwload the most recent drivers for Win Me and the score went down to 2986??

Really confusing.

FYI: Both OS using DirectX 8.1 and FAT32

This is probably related to driver issues with WinME. Since you got a decent 3d mark score, there isn't any real hardware problems. WinMe isn't the best OS for gaming and you are probably better off with 98SE and XP. I would think that with 98SE you should have a better score.

I could always be wrong though .

With a disparity that large I'm guessing your probably forgot to install your mobo drivers or something.

Maybe U R right, I'll look for the drivers of the MOBO (AMD Based), I'll let U Know if that was the problem.
