The USPs are nice guns, but I find their pricing really unreasonable. I cannot see what justifies the 30% price increase versus a Glock, which seems to be built just as well and uses similar materials. For the same money, you could buy a comparable Sig, with its jewel-like build quality and smooth trigger. I also really dislike the trigger on the USPs, especially in DA. The H&K P7, on the other hand, is a beautiful (but VERY expensive) little weapon.

SIGs have jewel-like build quality? There is a reason the FBI ditched them, mainly due to the fact that they make more lemons that Hyundai. 😛

I would love to see documentation of this, as I don't buy it for a minute. The Sigs' surface finish is somewhat prone to rusting but in every other way their quality is impeccable. They are still good enough for the Navy SEALS, Army CID, and any number of other police and special forces groups around the world. With the exception of the regrettable Mauser M2, I feel they are the highest quality handgun lineup in production today (though again I prefer the Glock's consistent trigger pull to the DA/SA setup of the Sigs).

The Glock 36 is a single-stack 7 shot compact .45 model. It is designed for those with smaller hands, and would be a good choice for you. The#21 is the Large frame, and the #30 the medium frame Glock .45's.
They are a great design, and VERY resistant to corrosion and abuse.
****NOTE***** You will have to remember to keep the weapon properly lubed if you plan on just leaving it in your car. Heat and Humidity dry out the parts.
