Just how do those sellers sell for such a seemingly low margin? Anyone have any clues? or are these sellers pushing really good fakes...??

I bet if you check the tags (if you did buy some, I mean), the logo for the company would be different. I remember when I was in Washington, D.C. a few years ago, several people tried to sell us Oakley sunglasses. Only, if you looked at the logo where it spelled out "Oakley," the "a" was not formed the same way as the real Oakley logo. Someone I was there with had a real pair for comparision. It was pretty funny. They were fairly decent imitations and they were being sold for like $2 or something.

Could be the place making 1,000 shoes for Prada, made 1,200, and kept 200.

anybody who pays 1000 dollars for a real gucci purse or anything like that is out of their mind anyways.. the fakes are just as good and way cheaper.

they can't all be fake right? some of these guys sell literally thousands of Gucci, Prada, Fendi... purses on ebay and have thousands of positive feedback....they come with authenticity tags and when held up against the real thing, are nearly identical...

I've actually bought one(a Fendi from ebay) for my gf for about $200 off the actual store price($450-ish)...and i've seen the REALLY good fakes from the streets of Italy and Hong Kong...these(ebay) are much different and believable...

anyone have the magic answer? factory wholesale? factory reject? factory outlet?

These just can't be all fake...just do a search for 'authentic fendi purse' and look.....ebay doesn't offer any services to guarantee it either....someone must know

the ones that are not fake are shoplifted. remember that shoplifing ring that got busted nation wide a few months ago. that is where they get some of the clothes. Shoplifting rings are more common than a lot of us might think.

I think your logic is a little forced. If anything, it is obvious that the sellers who have sold thousands of these items are selling fakes, regardless of feedback. I bought a fake Heuer watch last year from a seller on Ebay with nothing but positive feedback - I knew it was fake due to the price ($40), and this was borne out when it arrived. It was a decent fake, but ultimately I decided it was too cheesy to wear.

I can pretty well guarantee you that any non-certified dealer selling Gucci, Prada, etc. for discounted prices is selling fakes.

As for the "authenticity tags", those are probably faked as well. If someone on ebay has thousdands of feedback, they're NOT selling anything for a loss. Counterfit clothing/watches/etc is a big business, I saw a thing on TV about it. They had an exec from Tommy Hilfinger on, and he was saying that most companies have some special way of marking their clothes so an expert can tell a real from a fake. Either it's so secret the counterfitters don't know, or it's more expensive to do so they don't care.

You've got to love ebay though. The worlds most high-tech flea market ;)

there knock-offs, unfortunately, they (the conterfeiters) have gotten pretty good at duplicating these with low quality material.

Correct. The companies will have a specialist that knows their products like the back of his hand. He knows if its fake or real almost by touch and goes in to other great detail to test and see if its fake or real.

There are alot of possibilities: 1) they're fake 2) employee discount 3) stolen goods 4) factory condition 5) used...etc etc...but i personally dont have a problem with fakes...I just bought a fake Kate Spade purse and a wallet for $25 combined in Houston. I haven't compared them to the real ones, but they look good IMHO. I would rather pay dirt cheap prices for goods that I know are fake, rather than paying ridiculous amount of money on ebay and wondering if they are really "authentic."
