Anyone know where to get Windows XP Academic version cheap?

I am a student with very little money and I want to get Windows XP, upgrade or full.

The best price I have found is $83 at newegg for an upgrade version of WinXP Pro, but I have seen posts of people getting academic versions at next to nothing. Anyone know a good store that can verify that I am a student and give a deal like this? I checked local bookstores at colleges and they arent giving any discounts. Thanks for your suggestions
