So im interested in knowing my real IQ, in a certified test.

Searches on google and yahoo just come up with "TAKE OUR FUN IQ TEST LOLOLOL" results.

Ive taken a bunch of those and often score in the 135-145 range.

I know about american mensa, but it seems the top 2 percentile people in the world cant build a working website.

Does anyone know where i can find out about taking a real IQ test? Im in Erie Pennsylvania.

There's no such thing as a "real IQ". You're better off taking the SATs. At least there's a sizable body of people to compare yourself against. Who are the other people taking IQ tests that you're comparing yourself against? No one takes them, how the heck would they know what the average is?

Because knowledge isn't a test of your cognitive ability to learn.

You can be intelligent and have never been taught that Paris is in France...

And they're going ot give you questions on a test about what, then? Not any particular subject, since you may not have studied them.

IQ tests generally use pattern recognition, deductive reasoning, number sequences, and other methods to test universal IQ.

That means your IQ is less than 100.

Appearently IQ testing costs upwards of $400-500 through a licensed psychologist...

This is absolutely retarded.

I just want to take a real test and get a result. :(

Yeah, if you're older more points are deducted from the final score.

Wasn't everyone tested in like 3rd grade or something? We were in very rural PA when I was young.

Apply for Mensa. You might like the company and your application is an IQ test which you get the results for.

I have, it sucks that they dont have a chapter near me though, I have to go all the way to cleveland in June.

Of course taking 2 mensa tests (which are PhD certified) is less than 1/10th the price of everything else ive priced... My poor ass is going with mensa.

The only time I've heard of people taking IQ tests is through school to see if they qualify for a gifted or special ed program. You could probably find a book with an IQ test in it or applying for Mensa sounds like a good idea.
