I've seen the ATi direct deal for $449, that's just too much.

Anyone know of a retailer that has it in stock?

The recommended retail price is $399, so don't buy it for that much. I haven't seen one either.

The ATI deal includes the "Remote Wonder" which retails for $50 or so(Excellent remote, I got mine with my AIW 7500), mwave will have them on the 27th for around $360...newegg about $388 on the 31st. Try pricewatch and check around...I'd wait a week.

Are those prices estimated based on mwave/neweggs's historic discount of MSRP or are they confirmed?

The cheapest price I know of for the R9700 is $340 at eCost. It's still pre-ordered there though.
