The reason is, i need to take the camera out of my phone so i can use it on a military base. It's starting to become a nuisance not being able to use my phone. The reason i didn't get the V260 is because although they look identical, people have said that reception is much better on the V265 than the V260.

Get another phone and just swap sim cards?

EDIT: Besides, how are you going to prove the camera is disabled. BTW, what base is this? To the best of my knowledge there is no such restriction at Los Angeles Air Force Base.

It's a naval base. we've been warned for a couple of months that no cameras are allowed. Verizon does not use sim cards.

I won't prove that it's disabled, i will take it out, and then change the face plate on the phone so that there is no hole from the camera.

Just stick a piece of duct tape over it, not worth ruining a phone.
