Anyone know where I can exchange foreign money for US dollars?

I have a lot of mexican money and it is worth a lot of money. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could exchange it for US dollars. Anyone know? Thanks.

Try the bank.

Most American banks will exchange Canadian and Mexican currency for you. The bigger banks will also exchange other currencies.

Anyway, your bank will either do it or guide you to a bank that does.

The larger banks in FL like Nations Bank, First Union and Sun Trust should be able to exchange your Mexican money without much difficulty. They may charge an "exchange fee".

Where are you located? I live in Florida.

Not every bank has currency-exchange service. You may call the bank first. If they don't have one at the location you called, ask them which branch has the service.

I may just drive up to Orlando International Airport if my bank doesn't cash this foreign money. It is only a hour away and this is a lot of money.

Just a thought - in 1993, Mexico devalued their currency. 1000 old pesos became 1 new peso. If your Mexican money is from before 1993, well, you can do the math.
