Anyone know what this plant is or is going to be?

Just found a few in my crazy backyard... start of one of those giant gross yucca plants?

I've never seen a yucca that looked like that. (unless yucca is something different for you than it is for me...and there are as many as 50 different species of yucca...none native to Joisey)

That one of yours is certainly interesting looking. Please post pics once it fully opens.

Looks kinda like what we call a "corn plant"...? Not sure what the real name is though...?

Does your neighbour have bamboo? That's what this looks like. Like the others said, it grows fast and is impossible to kill. On the plus side, you could use it to make bamboo furniture and kitchen utensils and sell them to hipsters,

It's different from the rest. If I've learned anything from society, you should probably kill it.

sure looks like bamboo. that shit is a pain in the ass.

edit: look around the neighborhood to see if anyone has bamboo. if so this is a offshoot. they will take over everything they can and are damn near impossible to keep out.
