Anyone know what this is?

This has been there for a while, but it's become slightly larger in the last week or so. It's firm but not painful, and doesn't cause me any irritation. It's on the inside of my upper leg. It's about half the size of a pea, maybe slightly bigger.

Any ideas folks? I'm understandably a bit concerned. I will go and see the doctor, but should I be worrying about it?

I'm not sure what it is in English, but it's like a pimple or a zit with a hard deformation inside. Popping it won't work, just cut it open, or pry out the thingie inside with a needle or something.

Also, these things bleed. A lot. A long time. It'd be wise to burn it shut when opened 😉. (I didn't do this when I had one, hence a big stain of blood on my (favourite) white shirt.)

Um, yeah, I'm not going to do that.

a Cyst?

Assuming your insurance covers it (and it should), you could just go to a general sugeon and have them excise it. Wouldn't take long..and itd be painless.

What is this "insurance" you speak of?

Okay, so is this anything to worry about, given that it seems to be growing, albeit slowly?

It's not dangerous or anything, but if you don't take it off (or have it taken off) now, you'll regret it in a week or two.

And why's that then? It's been there at least a month now.

Because it starts forming very slowly (almost unnoticable) and then it grows very rapidly. I've had one, and they almost tear the skin. Seriously, man, just take the damn thing off before you regret it. I'm not saying this because I want you to hurt yourself, I'm saying it because if you don't hurt yourself right now, that thing's gonna hurt you a whole lot more in a week or two.

Okay, I'll go see the doctor. I'm not attempting amateur surgery on myself.

Okay 🙂. It's not amateur surgery BTW. The doctor will either just take a knife, slice and take it out, or he'll poke it with a needle and then take it out. Nothing you couldn't do yourself 🙂.

Well since it's free to get the doctor to do it, he might as well 😉
