The sensors in the Abit boards read temperatures based on a certain range (from 0 to 95 degress). To make a long story short, these sensors are not accurate at all because they read a system temps according to their given range. What the sensors in the Abit boards do is calculate the range the current temps are in the system. If the temps are to high according to its given range an alarm will go off, or sudden reboots start to happen :( . On the other hand, if the temps are within a "stable" range the computer will be stable and happy :D.

Hope that helps.
