We have a 50" LCD projection tv from Hitachi...can't give you the exact model, but I can if needed.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out what I should have the tv settings at to provide the "best" picture. By that, I mean everything...tint/colors/sharpness/contrast/etc...you name it.

I'm not an expert on making TVs look as they should...so I'd like a general idea on around what the settings should be at for it to look as it should.

Each TV will have different settings. The best place to look would be the AVS forums I'm sure they already have a thread on your exact model.
I'm sure you have different options than mine but changing the mode to natural from default of bright improved it greatly. I could actually see contrast in blacks now. That was the only worth while setting. There are some others that helped but not as much as that one.
Again check out the AVS forums they will be able to help you out greatly.

Pick up a copy of this for about $17. You'll have your TV and sound system (if you have a SPL meter)setup right in about 45 minutes...
