Anyone know what PC store sales commission rates are?

This question pops in my head everytime I'm having an "ass"ociate ask me for my phone #, input my items, and prints my order.

BBY employees aren't on commission, though warranty plans are highly "encouraged" by management, to the tune of "sell more and you get better hours/duties"

That's bullshlt cuz i sold alot of the crap they pushed us to sell and i still got shlty hours. Gawd i hate that store. Management is really fvcked up there. NO commission either, what bull. I remeber they would make us do line shark, which consisted of whoring out stuff at people waiting on lines. We would especially do linesharking when the lines got really long. It was such a degrading job.

You want that PRODUCT SERVICE PLAN????
Oh by the way you get 8 free issues of SI!!!
Can I get your home phone number?

BB sucks the big one.

BB = No commission, horrible service

Umm, Fry's cashiers get something like $2 for every $1000 they ring up. Which isn't that hard to do in a day.

I've heard Fry's employees make no comission on SALE/Advertised items.....

Which would explain their horrible service when asking fo an advertised item!

Cashiers are different than sales associates. Frys is pretty much the only commission based computer/electronic retail outlet.

cashiers = 2 something per 1000 rung up.
customer service supervisors = based on the coverage of the cashiers. some cashiers make more than the supervisors.
loss prevention = set amount per incorrectly rung up transaction (people checking your receipts.)
EVERYONE = set amount per mismarked item (i.e. wrong price sticker on an item)
sales associates = commission based on the actual item itself. if sold below cost, no way does it have commission. most sale items = no commission. big money commissions = audio/tv/appliances and components. that's why they push the warranties, because they get a good chunk of that.
managers = based on the department performance.
