It came out of my mom's travel Water Pik. It was 2 cells soldered together then wrapped in this plastic thing. On the label there is Ghostbuster sign over a trash can with Cd underneath. I assume this means they are nicad, but what size?

Anyway, I'm just trying to replace the cells, since my mom swears by her Water Pik over conventional flossing.

you shouldn't have taken it apart.

Maybe, maybe not. For my Oral B Toothbrush, the battery was a similar design, two 2/3 A cells soldered together and then wrapped in plastic. After cutting off the plastic, it was easy to identify the type of cells in the battery online, so I figured it would be the same as the Oral B.

With my toothbrush, they try and force you buy a whole new one when the battery fails, so I just assumed that with the Water Pik it was the same way, but I guess this Water Pik was made before America's obsession with disposable appliances/electronics.
