Anyone know what a pass option tourney

in NFL2k1 on Dreamcast is? I have never heard a "pass option" tournament.

I know this is a stretch of a question, but was hoping someone could shed some light.

Having never played this game, my guess would be that the tournament gives to an option to "pass", or have that game simulated rather, instead of making you play.

Anyone agree?
