ARACHIBUTYROPHOBIA:
The fear of having peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth.

Odd Phobias (stolen from some site)

Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

Pteronophobia - Fear of being tickled by feathers.

Zemmiphobia - Fear of the great mole rat.

Autodysomophobia - Fear that one has a vile odor.

Caligynephobia - Fear of beautiful women.

Coprastasophobia - Fear of constipation.

(my favorite) Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia - (I kid you not) Fear of long words!

phobia's are usually based on latin version's of what the phobia is about, look for someplace with a latin dictionary, and have a good run with it, gary larson made up a few good ones, anitadeaphobia-fear of being watched by a duck and luposlipaphobia fear of being chased by timber wolves around a kitchen table while wearing socks on a newly waxed floor. those are nearly direct farside quotes from the 10th aniversery book, which i have nearly memerized

If you break it down, arachi comes from Arachis, the genus that peanuts belong to. The duto part tranlates to duct. So my guess
is that arachidutophobia is some fear involving peanut shells.

However, knowing the origin of the word doesn't necessarily give you the full answer. Arachibutyrophobia should mean fear of peanut butter
(arachi=peanut, butyro=butter), but the accepted use is more specific in nature.

Nice detective work there, MereMortal. I wonder if it could be the fear of getting a peanut stuck in your nose (or ear)?

<< arachibutyrophobia a fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth. The term ?arachi? refers to the glutinous oil found in many nuts and in butter. We are unable to confirm if arachibutyrophobes suffer a mild dislike of sticky peanut butter or a genuine phobia. Arachibutyrophobia is one of a crop of new terms that reflect recently emerging fears. To coin the term for any new phobia, write the classical name for the object of fear then add the -phobia suffix. Phonodromo- phobia, for example, is a fear of mobile phones. >>

my fav, triskaidekaphobia - fear of the number 13. One of my first nick's on the web was triskaidekaphile, cuz my favorite number is 13.

Anyway, I think you might have written it down wrong, cuz the one you have and the peanut butter one are pretty close in spelling. Maybe your prof underestimated the power of the internet saying it would be tough to find.

[edit} Check out these crazy peeps : Venustraphobia- Fear of beautiful women hahaha 😀

late.

Thanks kranky. Another possibility is if you take 'duto'
to be throat, it could be the fear of choking on a peanut.
