Anyone knows.. need to distribute Test results statistical data on CDs to Clients.. help needed. I went to ily.com... the prices were very very high.

Isn't it possible to assemble it youself ??? Get the controller for a 1 to 2 or 3 tagets, some cheap Lite-ons 24x CDRW $95 each and it does not amount up to $995 to $1600 [1 reader and (2) 24x Writers + the controller card of course..] and case. The pricing struture is so different.... anyone care to explain... Gurus or anyone knows best place to get one ??

yes. DiscJuggler allows multiple targets. Never used it for more than 1 disc at a time, but it is pretty high quality program in terms of performance.

I would suggest:

1. Use Windows 2000
2. Put each CD-RECORDER on a unique IDE bus. I suggest the Promise Ultra33/Ultra66/Ultra100/Ultra133 cards (get the Ultra66 cheap). You can have multiple Promise cards in a system if you want.
3. Use DiscJuggler

I wouldn't even BOTHER with a reader. Just make an image of the disc on hard drive you boot from and use that.... saves having to waste space/time on another drive. Plus you can make sure you get a good read BEFORE burning.

esoteric, lunchmeat: Unfortunately, this guy already got some help before you two jackasses chimed in. What good are you doing by bumping this thread to the top with your asinine comments? We all know how "kewl" you are, and I'm sure you're quite "l33t," but why don't YOU take your off-topic posts to OT?

MontyBurns.....

First and foremost... STFU!

Secondly.. That "help" post wasnt there when I initially opened the thread... Maybe you get to sit on your ass all day and read AT but I dont. I read when I can.

Thirdly (is that a word?)... It was a bump for a lock.

And finally... Who the f*ck asked your opinion of my post.

Buh bye now... Buh bye..

I've played around with multiple discs at once and it works better BY FAR on SCSI equipment...

Your milage may vary though...
