Anyone know the best internet phone?

Seen a fee of them i have used skype and it works pretty good. I would wanna get a wifi phone or something like that any adice? any good sites for this?

Skype isn't yet a finished product but it has improved a lot.
There is a skype wifi phone they advertize on their site.
Skype can be used on windows mobile phones/pdas but:
-you need to keep them on all the time (not standby) to receive calls
-the sound doesn't work properly: you need to use a wired headset for it to be guaranteed to work (flaw in WM apparently, not granting applications the ability to use the phone speaker)
-the current version doesn't work on all windows mobile devices

WM6 has SIP (I think) VOIP built in (if not the right download from xda developers will do the trick). I don't know what internet phone services allow that to be used.

Some roms in XDA-Dev includes VOIP function on your PDA phone. I believe alternatively you can install a VOIP software.

regular VOIP are just as expensive as PDA phones.

Well i lost my phone and my t moble contract is up... i dont think i really need a cell phone i have had one for 8 years but i think i can live without. I have been using www.icall.com which is free incoming and outgoing and voice mail. Quality seems to be ok at best.

I am just sick of a 50+ phone bill a month something i dont need $600 a year i could spend on something else.

Why not get a pre-paid cell phone? That way you'll still have coverage when you need it and you don't get stuck with a monthly phone bill.

Why not get a pre-paid cell phone? That way you'll still have coverage when you need it and you don't get stuck with a monthly phone bill.

If you do that and still want a wifi/skype phone, buy a tmobile prepaid sim (can get one with airtime for like $5 on ebay) and find something like a UNLOCKED (most important part) ppc with wifi (you could pick up a used 8125/mda for $125 or a 2125 for $100), and have the best of both worlds.
