Anyone know of display issues with Asus K7M?

The K7M was not one of ASUS's best mobos. Never was on the approved mobo list at AMD. I have read your other post, don't assume that because your RAM works in another mobo its good for the K7M, they tend to be picky. Try removing the RAM completely and see if you get any beeps.

DaddyG: Posted it in General Hardware, Asus had me do as you and AC (in Tech Support forum) suggested "rebuild bare" and it posted. Thanks for your help it has been a learning experience.

I also had trouble with K7M and memory. Generic PC100 would krash now and then. Switching to better quality RAM improved stability.

It's a good board but the only thing that bugs me is how picky the board is with RAM.

My friend has the mobo.. He was saying he wasn't happy with it until he got the right RAM.. I was recently at a LAN party and Q3 was running on 8 peoples comps for 15hours plus or more and mine and the K7M were the only ones still running constant that had not locked once or more after that amount of time.

He runs an Asus V6800 GeForce DDR and has no problems at all.

Second that, k7m wasn't completely stable with Micron on 3rd pcb, fixed by replacing with Corsair
