Outback, Longhorn...etc. Your best bet is not a chain steakhouse but rather a local steakhouse where you will get better quality food at a cheaper price and a lot more of it!

You could always go to Ruth Chris if you like to spend money.

The only good steak is one cooked yourself.

I really don't care for restaurant steak at all. To get a halfway decent one, you are paying 5 times the cost what I cook it myself for.

No thanks.

Sorry I'm not helping much :\

I'm not sure if you have Applebee's out there but they have good steak. :)

I disagree. Unless you have a place you can buy restaurant quality beef, you can't fix a steak at home that will come anywhere near one that you can buy at a good steakhouse.

Please tell me you are joking. They use subpar meat and don't have the first clue how to cook it. I ask for a medium-rare steak and I get a medium-well steak.

I like the Texas Roadhouse here. BUT I just usually buy my own steaks and cook them.

You're in California. I'm in Iowa. I need not say more.

I have heard Bern's Steakhouse is really good. J. Alexander is supposed to be good also.

I salute you for being in a position to buy decent beef. Obviously most of us aren't. If you have a good BBQ you can truly produce some juicy steak worth eating.

No, I'm not joking. The Applebee's that I have been to always prepare the steak just the way I asked for it. :)

Though, it might be difficult to mess up a well done steak! ;)

Making your own is also a good idea. :)

Ryan's is good if you have one near you.

Any place with good yeast rolls. They're worth the price of dinner themselves. Is there anywhere that sells those things?

I've eaten at that Mister Steer before, and it wasn't bad. There's also a Hungry Hunter on Blossom Hill Rd. near Almaden Expressway, in South San Jose. However, the last time I ate there, the service was subpar and the food wasn't worth what I paid for it, so I haven't eaten there since. Outback on Blossom Hill makes decent steak, and the Black Angus, also on Blossom Hill, is ok too.

Mmmmm, steak.... (and A1 sauce)

Yeah. I'm not a big steak fan, but that place is the sh!t. I just went to my local grocery store and found out they sell their sauce in bottles.

I buy the pre-marinate sirloin roast. Wrap it up and cook at 375 degrees for 1 Hour or 1H 20M for well done.
Dang that thing is good.
