I'm trying to install the drivers to my friends computer cause another friend reformatted it without backing up drivers and now I have no clue what video card is in it... Is there a program that can be downloaded and tell me? There's nothing in the device manager...

Thanks

Watch the power on sequence, the video card normally displays its name for a few seconds.

I tried that already to no avail, it just has the Dell bios screen with no information.

Doesn't Dell keep build lists for every computer they ever make, that you can look up from the PC's (magic) ticket number? Never needed this info myself, but I thought I'd read that.

I found out the video card, but of course, the driver on the CD and the driver on the website fail to install.

And I can't find jack crap on the ATi site.

You might list the card model in the Video forum and ask if you can use generic drivers.
