Anyone know of a plugin install Remote desktop server?

Have you'll seen gotoassist?

Basically it is a plugin that will allow a user to take control over someone's computer (for tech support).

So if Jane over in NC is having problems with email.. She calls me up, I say go to http://site.whatever.com and then it prompts her to download a plugin.. and once she says yes. I can automatically connect to her computer (like if i was using Remote desktop or VNC).

I know gotoassist does this.. but I want something cheap (not even sure how cheap this is though)..

any ideas?

gotomeeting does not have built in file transfer, webex does.

Ultra VNC has a feature that lets you create a file to send to the client, that connects back to you, so it can get out of their network.

winxp has a built in rdc server that allows web access...not installed by default though

I use GoToAssist at work. It's a pretty good client, although the performance is suspect over dialup-speed connections.
