Anyone know if Sony Clie 320 is in stock at Dell? it's only $136 shipped

I'm about to order the Clie from Sony, but I remember from other posts that it might be backordered.... been trying to call Dell, but their customer services SUCKS. thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I ordered one at the beginning of the month too, I first got ship date: 12/10/01. That seemed pretty good, but on Dec 10 it had changed to 01/02/02!!!!!! Unacceptable, I called Dell 3 times, those morons are completly disorganised. One rep told me it was in stock, but they just didn't know where as they have tons of warehouses. They don't even know in which warehouse it's in stock, the order just first goes to the first warehouse, then the second, etc...and according to the rep it can take days for an order to be transfered. I yelled a little bit and complained a whole lot, and finally the guy said "let me check if I can speed things up"...and my Clie got shipped on that same day!!!!! just call them, wait 40 minutes on hold, and don't hang up until the guy agrees to ship it to you ASAP.

You also get a GoAmerica sled and a Sierra Wireless AirCard 300 for $99 after $100 MIR, if you sign up for 12 months service (add $25 activation fee as well). So it's (12 * $40) + $25 + $99 = ~$600 for a year of unlimited wireless service with hardware included. Not too bad.

Well, here's my 2 cents comparing the S320 to the S300:

Disadvantages: 8MB memory stick not included; no cradle (you get a USB Hotsync cable instead).

Advantages: Comes with 8MB internal memory vs. 2MB on the S300; slightly faster processor (33MHz vs. 20MHz); PalmOS 4.0.5 instead of 3.5.2 on the S300; allows USB Hotsync on Windows XP (the USB switcher program used by the S300 doesn't work with Windows XP); first Clie to work with Sony's Mylo wireless service.

I have the S300, it has 8mb internal memory but does have the palm 3.5 OS. And yes it did come with the memory stick. To bad it sticks up out of the clie. However my sister has the 610 and in that one the memory stick goes all the way down. Not sure about the processor speed.

BTW love the clie. I have used a palm2, compaq ipaq, and the clie. I found the clie to be the best. Wonderfull device.
