Anyone know if it's okay to take Nyquil and Excedrin at the same time?

Excedrin has caffeine I think.
The Nyquil has some alcohol.
About a wash as far as effects.
Why are you taking Excedrin in addition to the Nyquil?
 
IIRC, Nyquil has Acetaminophen while Excedrin is Aspirin. Both are analgesics, but they are processed by different organs, so you should be fine. 🙂 Acetaminophen is metabolized by the liver, while the other common analgesics like Aspirin (Bayer, Excedrin), Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), and Naproxyn Sodium (Alleve) are metabolized differently, and so you shouldn't have any problem with interactions

The reason I was going to take both was because I have a pounding headache, and I'm still fighting a cold I've had for a few days now (only started using Nyquil last night)..
 
Excedrin has Acetaminophen (250mg/tablet) Aspirin (250mg/tablet) and Caffeine (65mg/tablet).
Nyquil has Acetaminophen (500mg/tablespoon) and some other stuff for the cough and cold.

I wouldn't mix these two. I think taking the Nyquil is more than enough.

Not always. There are many different formulations of Nyquil That is why I asked him to list all active ingredients.

I've only taken Nyquil so far.. so I guess I won't take the Excedrin.

Acetaminophen 500mg (pain reliever/fever reducer)
Dextromethorphan HBr 15mg (cough suppressant)
Doxylamine succinate 6.25mg (antihistamine)
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30mg (nasal decongestant)

Inactive -
[cherry] alcohol, citric acid, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, flavor, high fructose corn syrup, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate

I took it off the website, but made sure it was the same.. typing that out would be a pain..

AlienCraft, headache gone.. o-O Alcohol helps headaches? Oh my.. too bad I'm still underage. 🙁

shot of VODKA (or any hard liquor).

drop it in the mug , drink.

I never fall asleep from medicine.. or haven't taken one that has put me to sleep yet..

I'm still up doing homework, and waiting for my laundry to be finished in the dryer..

Well now that I see the whole list, you can mix the two. It is not, however, recommended. Glad the headache is better. Take care.
