Anyone know how to watermark video files and with what programs?

I just want something simple like putting my email address on the corner. I tried a trial version of Adobe Premiere 6.0 but I couldn't get it. I would do everything right (I think) and it would show the watermark in the preview window but when I press play or anything at all for that matter, the watermark disappears. It will come back again only when I disable the "transparency" setting and then re-enable it. These are for video files I encoded and captured from my camera using ATI's mmc software. I've got them in AVI or MPG format.

Any ideas?

Alpha channel stuff doesn't show up on the previews. You need to build the new frames.

Export the movie.
