Yeah, they block it in the messaging system. I just did this. email at somedomain.com

Do you have an IM client or Skype?

Another way is simply to get the email addy from paypal.

They've really cracked down on this. AFAIK you can't use the words
yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. in any message what so ever.

It seems to be keying off the words 'at' and 'com' in conjunction with 'gmail' and 'hotmail'. Of course @ and . are flagged too.

Consider using a lesser known service such as http://www.lavabit.com which gives you a free e-mail account, make sure to avoid using at and .com ... assuming the other party can decipher the e-mail address, it should work just fine.

Ask the other person for their phone number and text your email to them. It's what I've done in the past to get around eBay's email blocking.
