Anyone know how to replace fuse on z560s? i broke my 2nd pair

okay, i was jamming out, at about 1/4 volume, full bass.

I hear loud poping noise, so i dive for the plug and unplug it


I neeed to know how to replace fuse and were to get one

I won't badmouth them because I don't own them and have never heard them. That aside, I have seen threads on problems with them ever since they started becoming popular several months ago. Maybe it's just because people are pushing them too hard, but it doesn't alway seem so. I'm happy with my Altec Lansing ADA885's.

lol... Yah I bought Klipsch when they first came out. No problems thus far. And Sometimes I turn them up quite loud.

Sounds familiar....but I bought Z560s when they first came out. No problems thus far. And sometimes I turn th em up quite loud.
I'm really happy with mine....glad I haven't had them break on me - lol

i doubt you can push them too much if they are anything like the klipschs. turn them to 75% and your already deafening yourself.

Have you tried looking through the documentation that came with them? How about the Logitech website?

Try looking the subwoofer case over real close. There might be a fuse holder sticking out somewhere.

Maybe Logitech cheaped out and didn't engineer a safety valve into their speaker system.

They make great mouses and keyboards, though.

If you think your precious promedias have parts that are worth significantly more than the z-560s, you're foolin' yourself

boomy bass? the z560s are actually more boomy as confirmed by reviews. anyways, me and my friends blast our promedias quite a bit.. so fuses blown yet

So you're trying to say that putting in a replaceable fuse is worse than not having one at all? And that having a fuse makes the Z-560's "cheap"? I'd rather blow a 5 dollar fuse instead of blowing my speakers permanently, but that's just me.

I jam my Logitech Z560 all the time, and they've never blown a speaker or fuse.


BTW, the amplifier on my Klipsch v.2-400 decided to stop working one day....and Klipsch wouldnt help me at all ( wouldn't repair it for me, wouldnt help me find an Klipsch service center, wouldn't answer my questions about the schematics at all) , only offering to sell me a new sub/amp for $170. I went and got the Logitech for $110 from Dell, and it was a decision I do not regret.

my point is.... hang out on the Klipsch bulletin board one day... people have tons of problems with Klipsch... and I understand that people have problems with these Logitechs. Looks like it is luck of the draw.

2 quick faults I can remember from the last time I look at my Klipsch 4.1 promedia amp:
#1: audio signal is transferred to the amp cards internally with an IDE-like ribbon cable.
No OFC interconnects for you!
#2: no short circuit protection; my amp's PS section went up in smoke!

what the hell were you thinking turning the bass all the way up?:Q trying to create an artificial earthquake?
the bass should stay at the minimum, or at least less than halfway. because the logitech exaggerates the low end quite a bit, creating the muddy bass effect. for the best and most accurate reproduction of the sound, keep the bass knob all the way down.

i can keep the bass knob down all i want, but i dont think its gonna help till i learn how to replace thisfuse
