Try to put into place a Pop-Up stopper.

double click the NAV icon in your systray, and disable "automatic live update" that should do it

Uninstall NAV and re-install it. This will eliminate the pop-up reminder crap. As a side effect, your subscription will be reset! :Q

I have popup stopper and it won't work on that.

But I think I fixed it. I havent seen it for a while now. I'm at work right now so I don't exactly remember but It's a plugin file. I just renamed it from .dll to .old and havent seen the popup since. when I get home I'm report on the actual file I renamed.

That is one of the most annoying bugging things in the frickin world. If it came from some shareware bugging me to buy fine....
But from Norton ugh!

Did the reinstall thing. And free subsription. Serves them right for being so annoying about it.

Its their software, they should be able to make it as annoying as they want. Pay for the subscription or stop using it. Its the only moral thing to do.

YES it IS their software and no one is forcing me to use it, BUT to start bugging me ONE MONTH before the subscription is even up is ridiculous. No one said they weren't gonna pay for it; *I* register WINZIP as I believe it is right. Nothing moral about harassing you though. How would you like your DENTIST to call you EVERY day to remind you that your appointment is next month, OR the *IRS* to remind you that taxes are due April 15th?:)

If you do not agree with it, stop supporting them. Its simple. Talk with your wallet. I dont mind when I get reminders about stuff because Im frequently absent minded. Its entirely moral to bug someone about something that should be done. There is a simple solution, stop using it. :)

I Paid for it. I should be entitled to use it. I'm going to upgrade soon and I installed a hardware firewall so I don't really need to uninstall it and reinstall it. I do believe in paying for what you get but this is ridiculous. Anyway I found out what file I renamed, it was 'defalert.dll' in the NAV directory. That's the plug-in file that's listed in the registry and I havent seen it since.
