No I didn't steal anything. Today I bought a sweatshirt at AE, I got it home and go to put it on and it has the security tag thing on it!

More than likely I am going to go back with my reciept and have them remove it. If anyone knows of an easy/painless way to remove that would save the trip. Thanks.

Get some scissors and cut a hole in the shirt around the security tag. You can explain the hole by telling people that it's a new worn-in, damaged sweatshirt fashion.

If you don't want the ink to explode, throw it in the freezer for a few hours beforehand.

Interesting stuff. Makes me want to disassemble one myself, just for fun.

I had that happen once... I just brought it back and they removed it for me. I brought my receipt but for some reason they didn't even ask me to show it.
