call AAA. It's free to AAA members...if you dont have AAA have a friend who does have it call..as long as your friend is there and you the car owner is there, they will do it..
Yup. I locked my keys in my truck last weekend, and didn't have AAA. My aunt had it though, and the locksmith came and got it open for no charge.

my '95 Rodeo's version of power lock/unlock is not a button but the actual up/down lock itself. If I unlock the driver one, the other 3 doors do the same. There's no button. So if I get locked out, I don't know how they're going to pull that lock upward... it's not like it's got a hole or anything for a hanger to clip through.

A friend of mine had both locks broken (first from overuseage the other one from cold)
So the AAA guy comes in...
Took him 45 minutes!
in near zero temps and high wind

btw the car was a corsica and the AAA guy used the usual trick on the 4 doors before he could finally get it to unlock (back driver side door)...

Another little crash earlier that winter and my card was repaid...
That's why you get AAA...

where are you? I'd be happy to open it if you're close...otherwise it's really more art than science, and too hard to explain online.

I was in a rental Grand Am and locked the keys in. Guy came, hanger over window, down, hit power unlock button, open, less than a minute (quicker actually, can't remember, maybe 5-10s).

That was quite a few years back but I imagine there are still a few cars out that you can get to the power unlock button that way.

yeah

i keep a hanger in my car incase someone i *know* locks their keys in. i had to get my wife into her car twice, and my sister into hers once so i just left one in there.
