this sucks... my body is in pretty good shape and i would walk around with a wife beater but i am pretty self conscious about my back acne. Anyone have any personal experiences with them? how did you get rid of them? thanks..

go to a dermatologist and get a prescription for an anti-biotic.

Frequently this is just caused by a failure to wash really thoroughly. Since I moved to liquid soap and one of those puffy scrubber things, I haven't had a single pimple on my body (though I never had a severe problem with this anyway).

I dont need a wife beater to show my muscles. A size L still does justice.

When I was a teen & had that problem all it took was two afternoons at the beach on my back(lotion of course). The sun dried it out & I was fine till the end of summer. Alot of the bacteria stems from getting sweaty while you sleep. Sleeping in a cooler/ventilated room on your side in conjunction with with some mild soap(don't scrub!) & some sun every once in a while seems to keep it clean.

Wash your sheets more frequently. If you wear a tshirt to bed, make it a fresh one, not the same one you wore all day/evening.

Edit: Did a google search and eliminated the stuff that 'seems' to help my spouse, but is not recommended by dermatologists.

On a more serious note, my brother had backne because he was prone to it and he played football and wore those sweaty pads all the time. A little sun seems to help out complexion alot.

Curing it with sun is a wives tale. You are just making it less noticeable. You need to go to a dermatologist. They can give you creams and antibiotics. It's the antibiotics that really work, although you will have to stop taking them eventually.

The only cases where I ever saw enough back acne to concern myself with a wife beater was on guys who used steroids.

So from my experience the answer is to stop using steroids.

Mine went away when I stopped drinking soda. Do you drink a lot of soda or eat a lot of junk?
