anyone know how to enable cheats on the Steam version of Half Life?

I tried both the old way and the new way and I cannot get any cheats to work. Please help. I am stuck with no ammo and 2 health.

sv_cheats 1 in console

Impulse 101 for ammo

god for infinite health thats all I remember.

Just curious, what difficulty level are you playing? I am almost done with the game playing in Normal mode and I do not see how could you run out of health AND ammunition anywhere in the game?

You need to put the quotation marks I think.

I had to use God mode for five minutes during the jail defense part....oof it was tough.

haha, that took me literally like 10 tries to beat. i finally got it though. that was hella fun. and no cheats also!

I got mad and wasted all my ammo in the blast tower. Now that stupid plant thing keeps killing me.

And of course I am playing on the hard mode, its not fun if you don't.

It's also no fun when you are out of ammo and health.
