I think the point is to prove that theorem, so you can't use it to prove itself.

OP, if you can use ln, it should be pretty simple, but probably not because ln identities are so similar to power identities.

Alternately, try writing e^A*e^B as e*e*e...A times multiplied by e*e*e...B times. Then using the associative property show that it is the same as e*e*e*e*e a total of A+B times.
