Anyone know how long you have to stay in jail to fend off a $1200 fine?

Ok so long story short, I got a speeding ticket over a year ago. I had mailed all my forms for the ticket to the judge but now he says he never got them.

Now I have 4 warrants and might be arrested this week. How long do you have to stay in jail to excuse a $1200 fine? I'd like to know, just in case I do get arrested. I'm in college and cannot afford the $1200... any help would be nice. :)

In jail you make $1 a day. That works out to 1200 days.

I hear somethin' sayin'

(hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)
(hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they're singin'
(hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)
(hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they work so hard
Till the sun is goin' down
Working on the highways and byways
And wearing, wearing a frown
You hear them moanin' their lives away
Then you hear somebody sa-ay

That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

Can't ya hear them singin'
Mm, I'm goin' home one of these days
I'm goin' home see my woman
Whom I love so dear
But meanwhile I got to work right he-ere

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they're singin', mm
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my work is so hard
Give me water, I'm thirsty

FADE
My work is so hard

I have the forms/copies, but I sent it via regular mail (idiot!) so I have no proof that they actually recieved it.

1 hour you have to be kidding me... if so then I'd rather just do that.

Did you make any kind of payment with the forms? Were all the forms sent to the same place in one shipment?

Bring what you have. Throw yourself on the mercy of the court.

Probably get some public service+fine.

You might want to call legal aid first.

Did you pay with a check? Do you have bank records showing the check was cashed?

with a warrent you go to jail...do not collect $200...$1200...anything
you get locked up for the evening...go in front of a judge...possibly get put on probation and get an additional fine for not paying your fine on time and then they are allowed to garnish any paychecks you are getting till the $1200 (or proobbly $1500 at this point) is paid off.
I'd say start looking for any paperwork you can find and get urself some sorta lawyer. getting a warrent doesn't mean you stay in jail till your fine is paid off, it means you've just compounded the ammount of screwed over you are.
