Je t'aime means I love you.

Je t'aime bien means I like you a lot. Not sure why it's that way, but that's just how it is.

I dont know, I remember in high school French class singing a song called "J'aime bien la biftek" which means "i really like steak". And when you use the aimer form, it always means to like. When you hear the word "adore", then run.

High school is not the best place to learn a language. Je t'aime is "I love you", end of story. Aimer does ostensibly mean "to like", but it's more complicated than that because there is only one verb in French to express both like and love.
